Biography

Noel did his first gig aged 15 and packed the dance floor in just 15 minutes to the sounds of Shalamar, Greg Henderson, the Limit and many more of the big floor fillers. He spent the next 20 years playing at gigs all around London and the South East.

Noel got his first taste of radio in 1986 with Reach FM followed by Chicago 87. In 1988 he joined Joy Radio and went on to playing a leading role in developing the station into a successful weekend soul station. Noel presented a number of different programmes during that time including the popular Record Mirror Top 30 Club chart which was aired every Sunday from 2-4pm.

Noel's musical tastes are varied but would have to say that he is a big fan of the Philly sound. Favourite artists include The Whispers, the Jones Girls, Teena Marie, Bobby Womack and Luther Vandross.

Noel's show on Joy will heavily feature music from the 80's as well as Philly classics.
